Q.

My 2 yr 10m old daughter has constipation issue. Doctor has suggested to give PICLIN KIDS SYRUP and EZLAX POWDER. Doctor has suggested to give this for 1 month. When we googled, recommended age for both these medicines were not for 3 yr old kids. The 2nd day of giving these medicines, she went watery stools and then we stopped and she still goes watery stools, sometimes going without an urge like when urinating. Kindly suggest if we should give these medicines or we should stop and also suggest if we have alternative to this.

A. you have to decrease the dosage by 50 percent whenever you are taking any medicine which has been given by your doctor you have to wait and watch for three days and follow the instructions given by the doctor and if there is no improvement after three days then take a follow up. so kindly take a follow up with your doctor who will tell you whether any change in medicine or any other investigation is needed or not .
