Q.

My 2 month baby is having a lot of gas and his sleep also gets disturbed while passing gas.Like at night instead of having a sound sleep of 3 to 4 hours, he gets up in 1.5 to 2 hours. How to deal with this problem?

A. Colic in babies is a very common issue and it's matter of concern for parents as the baby is extremely irritable and inconsolable by most of the means. Exclusive breastfeeding with a proper bupring and keeping the baby in an upright position will be helpful. Antiflatulence medicine like semithicone , probiotics and enzhiiyme preparations may be helpful. Maternal lifestyle and dietary habbits are also contributory and important.

A. Gastica drops are a paediatric medicine specially formulated for infants and toddlers. It is used for relieving flatulence (gas), abdominal pain, and infantile colic (abnormal crying or fussiness in a healthy child). It contains a combination of simethicone, dill oil and fennel oil.
