Q.

My 2.8 old son's poop is darkest brown in colour, thankfully not black. But too dark brown... is it normal? He eats fibre food daily and drinks water well. Recently I'm feeding him beetroot, is it because of that?

A. yes, beetroot, tomatoes causes red or dark color stool.. Beets contain certain pigments that give them their vibrant and dark purple-red color. These pigments are not absorbed from body, and this is why you can see them in stools. This phenomenon is completely normal and does not cause any health problems.
