Q.

My 2.7 years old baby is suffering from constipation. What is the remedy. I wasn't stopped feeding her. Is this the reason for constipation and she is not having appetite. She is not gaining weight also

A. constipation is a very common problem in which diet modification needs to be done like including high fibres in the diet for which you can give seasonal fruits like papaya, watermelon and seasonal vegetables will also help you can give Daliya and oatsmeal also to your child which is rich in fibres and nutrients too. giving excesss of milk may also cause constipation, so you should limit the quantity. if any medication is requdsired youm should take it under medical guidance only.lactulose or polyethylene glycol is of good help, sorbilene is also an option but you should give any medicine or suppository only when prescribed by your pediatrician.

A. good morning constipation is the reason for lack of appetite I would recommend that you should try to give your baby honey with warm water in the morning you can give Gur to your baby three to four times throughout the day
