Q.

my 18 month's baby have dengue fever and 420000 platelets count is there any medicine for increasing platelets. he is not eating any food and juices

A. the platelet is normal at this stage dengue is a viral infection. the treatment consist only of symptomatic relief for the child. you can give only paracetamol for decreasing fever along with body sponge. if it is diagnosed you have to go for blood investigation either into or three days to see for decrease in platelet. no specific treatment is given for dengue and the doctor will wait till the body recovers from dengue by itself. very important to maintain hydration by giving regular water fluids and small amount of easily digestible food. please remain in contact with your doctor for more information and any confusion

Supplements are only going to be beneficial as of now along with that and vaccination like injections are also there are increase the platelet count for your doctor is going to assist you on this if the child is not going to eat or drink anything they’ll have to put your child on a saline that is what is going to help
