Q.

My 18 day old baby inner lips are black (two toned) , his doctor and home nurse thinks it’s nothing to worry about. His oxygen level is fine. Anyone faced similar issues? Does it get better with time? Should I get a 2nd opinion?

A. Hello my dear parent! Hope you’re cleaning your baby’s lips immediately after feeding. Sometimes the breast milk remains after feeding also can be the reason for black lips. Consult your doctor for further guidance in this matter, good luck and take care.
