Q.

my 17 days old baby show slight spot blood in the umblical area.there is no discharge.is there any problem.? need to any immediate consultantion!?

A. Just observe as of now and see if that has happened because of the crust getting dislodged or if it is actually coming from the umbilical region. If it is coming from the umbilical region again and again then consult your doctorWrite Your Answer Here

A. Signs of a problem Much like a scab, the cord stump might bleed a little when it falls off. However, contact your baby's doctor if the umbilical area oozes pus, the surrounding skin becomes red and swollen, or the area develops a pink moist bump. These could be signs of an umbilical cord infection.
