Q.

My 16 months old son has discoloration of teeth recently. I am giving him iron, calcium and D3 supplements. Is there due to any deficiency/??

A. Hi iron supplements causes black staining of kid's milk teeth.. you have to give supplements mixed with fruit juices or plain water.. maintain a habit of brushing your kid's teeth twice daily

A. Iron-rich water or iron supplements (including fortified rice cereals) can cause a gray or black stain to appear on your child's teeth. This staining is not harmful to teeth, and is easily brushed away by a parent's help during teeth brushing time, or by your dentist at your child's next visit.
