my 15 month daughter has excessive drooling? why is this and what can be done to stop it

A. Hello...Let your toddler have some ice creams or other cold food items that can help soothe your toddler’s gums. It will be especially helpful if your toddler is going through a difficult phase of teething. Make sure your toddler eats these under your supervision to avert choking.Ask your toddler to close his lips and keep his chin up, especially while eating. It will help your toddler swallow better and avoid drooling.Limit your toddler’s intake of sugary or overly sweet foods. Eating foods that are too sweet can often lead to an excess production of saliva, which your toddler may find difficult to swallow.Excessive drooling can cause breakouts on the skin around your toddler’s lips and chin. Ensure your toddler’s mouth is always clean and dry. Ask him to use a handkerchief regularly to wipe the area clean.

A. she may be teething.. check for teething.. wipe the drool immediately as it can cause rashes
