Q.
My 14 month old daughter is having 101.2 fever since morning and she vomitted acidic smelling vomit 2-3times in the morning and her poop was also sour smelling but not loose. I gave her 1.4ml paracetamol drop as given by her paed incase of fever >100 . She has not vomitted in the afternoon but her fever returned 101.4 and her body seems very hot and she is currently very weak. Please help.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. The first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. Give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever To body spongex to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. Higher medicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good evening it is a possibility that the child is suffering from some sort of infection in the body I would recommend that is possible you should try to visit your pediatrician for a proper examination
