Author of questionMom of a 5 yr old girl4 years agoA. hello doctor, thank you for the reply. it happened just now. half an hour back. she drank some milk and is peacefully sleeping now. I didn't apply any ice. and I already see that the swelling got reduced somewhat. she cried and then started behaving normal. I didn't see any convulsion. nor there was any vomiting. should I still be worried and consult a doctor?

In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol.
Recurrent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasgdionally .
Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .
