my 10 months baby is having severe cold, her nose is totally block due to which she is not able to sleep. please suggest sone remedies

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol canh be geiven to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl2 years agoA. Give steam to the child indirectly twice a day that’s going to help and apart from that you can also go ahead with giving any basic auntie allergic to the child after consulting your doctor that’s going to be the right thing to do
