Q.
My 10 months 11 days old baby girl is suffering from runny nose and cough.She poops after 1,2 or sometimes 3 days.A pediatrician prescribed Hicope, Omnacortil, Gutclear etc for this disease.Are these medicines are useful for my baby.Please note that I visited the doctor three times and every time he prescribed Omnacortil drops.I think some of these medicines are irrelevant and harmful for baby bcz using Omnacortil for a long period may cause growth retardation and other side effects.Prescription is attached herewith.Please advise

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. can continue to give Cold and cough in small babies are because of viral infections you have to treat them symptomatically with steam inhalation and saline drops in the nose of the baby e they will subside generally in a week's time

please consult with your pediatrician about this matter and follow his instructions very carefully
please give gentel massage on chest and limbs with Babyhug rapid relief rub
please give daily sun light exposure
