Q.

my 10 month old son arches his back for the past couple of days, especially when i try to lift him and while feeding too. He twists his body a lot . He doesn't cry while doing so.he just tilt his head backward . we are worried it might cause any injury to him. what could cause this in him? Is this normal?

A. Sometimes your baby might arch their back because they don't want to be held or fed. This kind of body stiffening could be a sign to put them down or change position. Some babies have strong back muscles and this may be the easiest way — other than crying — for their body to tell you what they want.
