Q.

My 1 yr old daughter has fever 101. have taken doc appointment already but have to wait few hours for that. could you please suggest some remedies in the meantime which can give her some relief.

A. Thank you so much hard doc. what will be the dose of paracetamol as she is around 9 kg. also what to feed her as she js rejecting food only on BM.

A. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature. also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only considerc it as fever and give paracetamol. higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation. after giving feverc medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving. keep the child in cool atmosphere
