Q.
My 1 month old baby boy has been suffering from a cold and a cough for 3 days. He is coughing continuously for half an hour and feels very congested due to phlegm. he is taking medicines but didn't get any relief. I'm giving him steam is it good how long and how often can I give steam to him? is there any other ways to get relief instantly while coughing?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss ofgh appetite irritability gcould be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.
