A. Hi momma, check if baby is deficient in anything like iron. Also avoid taking baby to playarea for some time. 1.5 years old babies need lot of interest and interactive play from you. Talk a lot to baby and use animated voices. Even reading news or narrating your daily tasks helps. Read board books together, do finger painting, touch and feel and flip books, stacking and sorting toys, simple wooden puzzles, write letters or shapes in sand and play, blocks, musical instruments like drums, tricycle, pull along toy. Even give him some utensils and spoons to make noise. Make sure your home is baby proof and bathroom door is closed at all times and let child explore. A young child explores the world through her mouth. Suckling is important for them. She is too young for you to worry. Do what you want after she turns 2. Please let her be..... this is important for their development. In the first year, with your baby putting toys in the mouth, you are sure to be concerned and will try to prevent it. However, the mouthing process is perfectly normal and means that the baby is learning to explore, and therefore, this phase is also called the phase of oral exploration in a baby’s life. Using their mouths and hands, babies explore and learn about different shapes, textures, materials, odours, tastes, sounds, and so much more Staing as early as 7 to 12 months, babies start mouthing objects. Normally by the age of two years, they start using their fingers to explore things around them. And, by the age of three, most children would have stopped putting objects into their mouths.
