A. Dear ma’am, the first milk a mother’s breast makes soon after the birth is called Colostrum. It’s a thick yellow liquid which is contains the essential nutrients and immune boosting factors. Mostly importantly it helps clear the meconium (black stools).

A. Hi parent, The first milk that comes soon after delivery is called colostrum. It is very rich in fats and essential antibodies that is necessary for the newborn infant. It is very essential to feed that milk to the newborn baby and after a few days the regular breastmilk will come in.
