A. Age wise development is milestones. For example Check if baby is gaining adequate weight. In the initial 3 months, babies put on about 1 kg each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it settles to 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age. Check for milestones that occur, Babies head control can happen anytime between 3-5 months. Babies can roll anytime between 3-5 months. Babies can sit with support by five to six months. They can sit with support with pillows and cushions. And can independently sit by nine months. Babies walk between 13-18 months. Each baby is different. Some may walk with support by 11 months. By 9months to 1yeat they just say mama, papa. By 15 months will understand whatever we say and will observe more. By 18 months they speak few meaningful words amma appa papa mamma thattha.. After two years they make combinations of words like amma give, amma take, appa go, mama come.. Later they make sentences. But each baby is different and same may attain milestones early. For some it may take time. If you feel it's getting delayed then It's better to check with your doctor and follow his advise. That would be the best and safest option.
