If she is breastfeeding, make sure that while feeding, the baby empties one breast first before moving on to the next breast as the milk that comes towards the end, which is hind milk, is rich in fat and helps in healthy weight gain of the baby. Always feed your baby on demand. Massage your baby daily. It also helps in weight gain. The mother should eat a healthy and well balanced diet if she is breastfeeding.
