meri beti 3 years ki h usko fever bar bar aa rha h Dr bolte h viral hai but usko fever 104 ,103 aata h dawai chal rhi h kuch samjh ni aa rha

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mgg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukrewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

A. Get a blood test done for your child to understand what is the problem because it a fever is coming every now and then and that too such a high fever there has to be some problem so the blood tears is going to give you a much clear picture about it
