Mere bachhe ko mild fever kafi dono se bana h 99.3 ya 99.5 Jb down hota h tb 98.3 h Blood test report sb normal h Bt ye mild fever q nhi ja raha h . Kya karun samjh me nhi aa raha h Dr ne bola h ki 100 se upar ho to dawa de Ab 100 nhi pahunch tha h to dawa kaise de Plz help

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fluid irsntake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

After 19 nine even if it is 99.213 you can give medication to your child and when it is 98.3 that means it is a normal body temperature also also the fever can be there for three days in general if it is a viral and it could be for 5 to 7 days so for that much time you can continue with the medicine as per your doctors advice
