Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. rubbing of ear as well as itching of the ears is totally normal. if the child is not crying do not worry about it and to decrease the itching sensation you cand apply coconut oil over it. do not use earbuds to clean the internal ear cavity. external ear can be cleaned with the help of clean cotton cloth.d treatment is given only if the child is crying with pain while itching. for pain you can give paracetamol
