ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Avoid powder. Give bath with Luke warm water to the baby. Choose a time during day when the child is not hungry or sleepy. Massage your baby gently with almond oil or coconut oil. As baby feels relaxed and keeps the skin soft. Avoid using soap daily as it dry the skin instead use a mild baby wash. First wash the face and head and then the body. Pat dry the baby especially the skin folds like armpits , groin and buttocks. Apply mild lotion afterwards. Avoid using baby powder as it collects on the skin and leads to irritation and rashes.
