POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. One of my close friends runs a playgroup, and she told me herself that unless you need a break from your toddler, or unless the toddler is super bored at home and has no social life, playgroup isnt really necessary. The toddler may also fall sick more often, since they will play with several kids. And its anyway for just 2 hours with just a snack time beech mein, so I wonder how much they will learn anways. They will teach things, but its mostly like montessori, with no force to learn.
The adv is that the kids will become more social, will make new friends and so the transition to school will be easier. Some toddlers may learn to talk a lil earlier too. But they can do this when they start school too :-)
