Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. Stool pattern of small children changes from time to time.
It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also.
The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi solid to solid or semi zliquid then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool
Also straining and crying while passing urine and stool is very normazl.
the crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. For breastfed infants it depends on age. During the first month of life, stooling less than once a day might mean your newborn isn't eating enough. However, breastfed infants may go several days or even a week between bowel movements, using every drop they eat to make more baby, not poop.
