Q.

Last two days my son s suffering from cough.my doctor suggested me ascoril syrup. But in night time he can't sleep peacefully. Pls advice me wat to do

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medihhcine which should be given only afterg a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. Hi mom continue to give medicine as prescribed by the doctor At night time apply babyhug rapid relief roll on or vicks babyrub on the chest and feet of the baby to get relief from cough and cold
