The jaundice may come at any time but usually starts after 24 hours of birth and you have to consult your doctor compulsorily because sometimes the levels may reach a lot and might also affect the brain of the child. Yes jaundice is normal in néw born babies.
If the bilirubin level is high then the doctor will give phototherapy to bring down the bilirubin level. In case u donot have sunlight, consult with your doctor for the proper treatment
