A. not necessarily. can be due to illness also prickly heat rash, also known as miliaria, commonly occurs in children due to sweat becoming trapped under the skin. this can lead to red, itchy bumps, which may cause discomfort and irritation. to treat prickly heat rash in children, it is important to keep the affected area cool and dry. loose-fitting clothing made from breathable fabrics should be worn, and staying in a cool environment can help alleviate symptoms. calamine lotion can also be applied to provide relief from itching and inflammation. in severe cases, a pediatrician may recommend an antihistamine. preventing prickly heat rash involves avoiding overheating, keeping skin dry, and staying hydrated.
