yes it is .
because sometimes babies drink milk too fast and swallow air with milk which gets trapped in stomach and then at the time of burping or after feeding, air comes out with milk which we call spit up.
so please don't wait until your child is extremely hungry for feeding.
make sure your child latches properly.
burp your baby frequently
