shilpi BhandariMom of 2 children5 years agoA. yes dear it can The placenta occupies a large surface area in the uterus in the initial stages of pregnancy. The placenta can change its position during pregnancy. In the initial stages of pregnancy, the placenta may appear low lying but as the pregnancy progresses the placentamay migrate to the upper segment.
