I used pacifiers with my son when he was 4 months old and now at 8 months he has stopped using them... the trick is to use different shapes pacifiers.. start with the smallest one and use different one after every 3 days.. there was a time when he even started sleeping with them and now he spits it out.

ShivaniMom of a 8 yr 6 m old child8 years agoA. pacifier is just a habbit which we put on babies and later we want them to stop this habbit..m not at all in favour of using it..so i ll not adviced you ..after 3 months you can gv him teether to sooth his gums..

Bhurabi BharaliMom of a 12 yr old boy8 years agoA. pacifier is not suggested to babies at all... it will be a habit which is very difficult to remove later.. also it hampers the teeth formation... Also the pacifier can lead to bad breath in the babies... also if the baby continually used it then baby will not suck the breast longer and it can lead to less feeding also which can hampers his overall development... so refrain from using pacifier...
