is metformin 500mg is safe during breastfeeding if mother is diabetic is there is any chances that mother is taking metformin 500 mg on daily basis once time and due to this after breastfeeding baby suger become low if baby is taking that mother milk

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 11 m old boy5 years agoA. it iss highly unlikely that metformin will cause any problems to the child will stop you can continue to take the medicines and see the child for any side effects which usually doesn't happen
