ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. No it's not painful. It is best to use the expressed milk fresh. But if you need to store it, place it in refrigerator immediately after collecting it, preferably in plastic container. It can be refrigerated under proper hygienic conditions for up to 24 hours. At the time of feeding just warm the bottle containing breast milk gradually by placing it in a bowl of hot water before feeding it your baby.
