ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. yes it can be given dry roast rice : moong dal in the ratio 3:1 grind and store. take spoonfulls , cook in water or little milk and feed warm when your baby is hungry. you can add different dals, corn, wheat etc as baby grows. .try a lighter consistency of cerelac, and feed with a tiny spoon. gradually make it thick . add banana , apple , little mashed strawberry, or boiled veggies , it enhances taste as well as nutritional value Do remember that baby is just learning to eat now

You can give mashed or puréed foods to ensure better digestion and assimilation. Start with smaller quantities and keep giving sips of water in between meals. You can give ragi porridge, rice porridge, daal paani, mashed fruits and vegetables. Good luck and take care.
