is it safe to give azithral 200 mg to child, she is not getting relief from cough, what to do, she is not able to sleep at night because of continous cough

Author of questionMom of a 7 yr 9 m old girl2 years agoA. yes, she is not able to breathe properly, may be because of mucus secretions and having wheezing sounds, before 15days she was having mumps. is this cough is because of that, pls do reply sir. Thanks🙏

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. cough is a symptom where excess mucus secretion may be there and most of the time it may be allergic or because of some infection like viral infection. Initially, symptomatic treatment can be tried like steam, inhalation, and some home remedies for any kind of medication, including expectorant or anti allergic medications, you have to consult your doctor. If cough is severe causing breathlessness. It should not be juuignored.
