Is it safe to apply Surma / Kajal to my newborn's eyes?

Harkirtan KaurMom of a 11 yr 6 m old girl9 years agoA. Please avoid it if possible. Kajal might do more harm than good to your infant. Infants are too delicate for any type of experimentation. Doesn't that innocent pair of eyes look beautiful as-is? Doctors advise against use of Surma for infants.

ayushi GuptaMom of a 10 yr 2 m old girl9 years agoA. Do apply kajal that is home made on ur baby. I am myslf putting kajal in my girl's eye since she turned 1 month. Kajal i put was made from burning almond n lil bit warm so that it soothes her eyes.

Mannat GMom of a 9 yr 5 m old girl9 years agoA. Please avoid applying this to your baby's eyes as it harmful to them. Paeditrician's are also strongly advising against this practise as they have seen many cases gone wrong.
