Q.

is it okay to swaddle a 3 week old baby with his arms out. he fights to remove his hands out of swaddle. sometimes can sleep with his arms out and sometimes doesn't I am so confused. please advise.

A. Yes its ok you can keep the arms out while swaddling the baby no issues and also swaddling can be stopped after two months and according to comfort level of the baby

A. Sorry I misread it as three months. So yes you can swaddle the baby with the arms in till the baby gets used to it. By 3 - 4 months babies if they are not comfortable will struggle

A. Yes you can if the baby is not comfortable Also most babies by this age struggle to be out of the swaddle. So you can swaddle the baby as long as the baby is either enjoying or is comfortable with it. Can also use a soft muslin cloth to swaddle the baby
