A. Polio vaccinations are of 2 types-OPV and IPV. While OPV is mostly given during the polio vaccination drives, IPV is mainly administered by your Paeditrician. It is recommended that each time there is a polio drive you should give your child the OPV dose till he/she turns 5 years old. However, in case you have missed an OPV dose don't worry, you can check with your Paeditrician about the same and they can also administer a dose. In case you have missed an IPV dose check with your Paeditrician also as they will tell you how to proceed.

A. Polio vaccines are of two kinds, oral and injectable. If injectable has been given but you have missed the oral, you can go to a hospital and give that one as well. Both are important and have to be given. Do not worry if you have missed a dose. But consult a Pediatritian anyway.
