is it okay to apply coconut oil into my baby's anus with my little finger to stimulate bowel movement? my mom n my in laws said so.

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician5 years agoA. hi parent constipation is common in exclusively breast fed babies you can wait till 7 days till them no manipulation is required apply over the area but not inside give diet rich in fibre and lots od oral fluids

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 11 m old boy5 years agoA. Hi mom Yes u can apply coconut oil on the anus area. There is no problem in that. But do not inseret finger deep inside. Just be gentle while applying the oil for easy passing of stool. Take care
