Q.

is it necessary to suck the whole black area of nipple while feeding to pass the milk properly into the baby's mouth..... ??? my doctor advised me it again n again but baby is too small to suck the whole black circle . Does it increase gas problem in baby ???? i m very confused , please tell me . coz i hv sufficient milk but my baby is not gaining weight properly .

A. Hello Mom, baby doesn't know anything. you should teach baby howmuch to keep in mouth. whole part of balck is not required. but at least 3/4 of it should go inside otherwise baby will take more air and feel ful just after taking less milk. so burping well and latching properly helps to avoid colic and gain weight.
