Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. back sleep is best.
there is no problem if the child is sleeping on the side or the child is sleeping on the tummy.
(one important point that has to be taken care of is that the child should be made to sleep on the tummy only under observation).
when the neck holding becomes proper than you can leave the child in tummy position without any observation.
the important thing is that if the child is not having any difficulty in breathing as well as respiration and digestion problem then you can continue to let the child sleep as well as give feeding in this position.
but if you feel that the child is having regular coughing as well as breathing difficulty then you have to change the position of the child
RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. That is how it is meant to be but that is when your child wakes up you can change the position but if the child is sleeping constantly in one position for a while it’s okay once the child wakes up then when you feed the child then you change the position anyway it is meant to be like that because if you make your child sleep in one constant position the head gets flat from that side
