ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician6 years agoA. hi coconut oil can be applied on the area before putting on diaper so as to form a layer between the skin and the fecal matter and prevent the occurrence of diaper rashes . but if rashes are already there you should apply b4nappi or ezinapi cream and keep area exposed to air do not use diaper small rashes Heal completely

chitra bhansaliMom of a 9 yr 8 m old boy6 years agoA. I think it depends on weather, In the mumbai weather I can never apply coconut oil, So I recommend rash cream and mamaearth rash cream is very good. I have tried 2-3 brands, but settled with mamaearth rash cream.

Hello dear Definitely..if you will use oil regularly then you will see that baby will not get the rashes but if you use occasionally then you might see little effect..but yes if baby is having rashes then to correct them use rash cream

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children6 years agoA. Coconut oil is the best followed by diaper rash cream . Before putting diapers you can apply coconut oil. If the rashes are still there you can go for diaper rash cream. You should also give diaper free time for few hours everyday. Also make sure you choose the right size which is neither too loose nor too tight for the baby. And in very severe cases of rashes, you can consult with your pediatrician and get some medicated ointments prescribed.
