Q.

iam 16 week pregnant. i have vaginal infection. my gynic prescribe clobestasol propionate and clotrimazole cream (propyzole NF cream).. but i found clobestasol is not safe in pregnancy. iam confused to use this. pls help any one

A. local application you have to treat the problem is important for further advise and information in this regard it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination physically and if all required any investigations also and proper management

A. Most topical corticosteroids are considered safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, you should wash off any steroid cream applied to your breasts before feeding your baby. Very potent topical corticosteroids are not usually prescribed for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for very young children
