Q.

I would like to ask about my 1.5-month-old baby boy’s sleep pattern. He is not sleeping properly during both morning and nighttime. At night he sleeps approximately around 8 hours in total, but during the daytime he rarely takes short naps. According to his age, I understand that babies usually need more sleep throughout the day and night. I am concerned that he may not be getting enough sleep. Is this sleep pattern normal for a 1.5-month-old baby? Should I be concerned or bring him for a physical examination?

A. Mam if your child is sleeping for at least 8 to 10 hours out of 24 hours then there is no problem at all and here if the child is sleeping for eight hours in the night I’m taking power nap during the day then still your child is covering up an hour of more than eight which is actually good there is no problem
