#AskTheExpert I want to know that when should vaccination of varicella second dose be given as in chart it is written in 4-6 years but the doctor has given date for 21 months? please suggest

A. Birth. - BCG + hepatitis B + OPV 6,10,14 weeks -- dpt + hep B + hib +Ipv Pcv + Rotavirus 6 months--. Typhoid , Influenza 1st dose + opv 7 months --- Influenza 2 nd dose 9 months --- Mmr + opv mcv( meningococcal) optional. 1 year ---- Hepatitis A. mcv 2 nd dose 15 months---. varicella( chicken pox) . mmr 2nd dose 18 months ----. dpt + hib + ipv Booster Hepatitis A 2nd dose Pcv booster 2 years. Typhoid 2 nd dose Influenza ( every year ) 4-5 yrs. chicken pox 2 nd dose dpt booster opv...l 10 years. DT. + hpv ( for girls)

A. Hi mom Varicella I is given by 15 months Varicella 2 is given anytime between 4-6 years. Consult ur paediatrician for the same as he will guide you better. Take care and all the best
