i stop breastfeeding my 1yr old boy...since a week should i express milk out or not..and also how long does it take to stop milk production

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist1 week agoA. dear mum , onc u stop breastfeeding gradually body gets the signal and breastmilk production is reduced then stops meanwhile u may express little milk just the amount that makes u comfortable no need for any medicine

No no you don’t have to express the milk the more you express the body is going to make more so take a medicine from your doctor that will help in drying up your breastfeed and from your side you should also massage your chest regularly and do hot compress which will help in reducing the hardness in the breast
