I saw some dryness on my baby’s scalp, is it cradle cap or dandruff? What should i do?

Dr Rashmi SriramMom of a 9 yr 5 m old girl5 years agoA. dry scalp in babies is called as cradle cap. it usually settles with age and there is nothing extra which needs to be done. apply coconut oil before bath followed by gentle cleansing with a good baby shampoo.

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr 7 m old boy5 years agoA. Hello good morning !! Generally babies have cradle cap and it will cleared by regular application of oil and hair wash with shampoo. You can use baby comb for brushing hair with soft bristles. Cradle cap also visible as flakes on scalp as dandruff but dandruff cause itching, redness.
