Q.
I m using mamy poko pants for by son . I am using xl size for him which is actually suggested for 12-17 kg child. My child is just 7 kg.Just for he must be comfort for pee I am using this much bigger size. But still I found diaper elastic marks on his belly and on thighs.should I stop using it? I used pampers also but he got rashes by using pampers. What should I do ?

Yes, you can use diaper /pampers of any good quality brand(Pampers, Huggies, Mamypoko, Cuddles), but not for the whole day. give diaper free time frequently in a day, if possible use cotton diaper, it will help to decrease diaper rash if any. Always check every 2 to 3 hourly for urine and motion and change immediately once baby pass urine or motion.

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Diaper should never be too tight or too loose as both cayse marks, it should be according to the weight of the baby. Diaper rash is common skin condition in babies. The main cause of diaper rash is when skin comes in contact with pee, poop, and sweating. Try to keep the skin dry and clean . Change the diaper after every four to five hours or when soiled by potty immediately. Give diaper free time till the rashes heal. Use a diaper ointment that contains zinc oxide or petroleum jelly i. e Vaseline with diaper change.
