I'm planning to introduce solids this week. can you please give me a list of foods to avoid

A. Hello… some foods are not to be given to the baby until the baby reaches one year mark like animal milk, sugar, salt, honey, dry fruits, wheat roti etc. Start with one or two teaspoons and then gradually increase it week by week as per baby’s interest. First time foods should be given to baby in the morning hours to check the symptoms of allergies.

A. Exclusive breastfeeding is advisable till the time the baby completes 6 months of age. Once the baby completes 6 months, start with one solid meal or one semi solid meal per day initially and then increase gradually. Start with Dal Ka pani or rice Ka Pani or rice porridge or mashed carrot or any one vegetable puree or clear vegerable soup or any one fruit puree or stewed pear or stewed apple. Give sips of water in between meals.
